Shortly after 7:38 a.m., lifeguards and fire crews
responded to reports of a person who had fallen down the cliff near 901–999
Sunset Cliffs Blvd. Crews confirmed that an adult and their large dog had
fallen from the cliff. They made contact with the patient and the animal and
utilized a rope system to extricate them, hoisting them safely to the top of
the cliff. Both were uninjured (no transports).
Total assigned units include: 1 Truck, 4 Admins, 1 Type 1 Helo, 1 Batt Ch, 3 Engines, 2 Medics, and 1 Rescue. A total of 32 personnel have been assigned. A fire investigator has not been assigned.
